Siddhartha Sacheti - Profile

Siddhartha Sacheti is the 6th generation jewelry designer from the Sacheti family. Having born into a rich family of heritage and history of jewellery which spanned across generations, it was absolutely impossible for him to think about any other profession besides this. It was embed in his blood since birth. Or you can say that it's been his birth right. Siddhartha is currently heading as the CEO of the luxury brand Jaipur Gems founded by his father Padam Sacheti.

Having completed his graduation in Commerce at Sydenham college, he went to Gemological Institute of America to pursue the art of jewellery manufacturing and design. He came back and joined the family business and in the year 2000 founded an online space where jewellers and designers  could interact directly with their customers, merchandisers and gemologists ( it was based on the model for B2B and B2C). Unfortunately in the year 2002, he had to shut it down, as it was way ahead of its time and the internet penetration in India was extremely low.

After this incident he went back again to the States and studied Retail Management. On his arrival back to the home turf he went on to modernise the family business with by providing state of the art machinery and technology which helped enabled his artisans to continue what they do best and allow Jaipur Gems to produce quality collections at international standards and at the same time maintaining their trademark heritage style and essence. He has also established the entire social media reach for House of Jaipur Gems single handedly.

Besides designing, his other passions include skiing, scuba diving and sailing. On his traveling wish list Japan and Africa are the two places that he is yet awaiting to explore and experience their culture, food, etc. He is also an avid reader and revels in fiction and non fiction books. Being a technology geek he spends much of his time in research and updating himself with all the new and latest entrants in the market.

Currently he is looking to expand his wings and foray into another aspect of designing. He’s looking at honing his skills and create a brand name in mens accessories.
